It's not the first time this has happened. I don't blame him though cause Sean takes him out all the time on the goal line.
In his defense, Ingram has a rich history of failing to get tough yards in the black and gold.

I'm confused about this incentive issue. I have seen on more than one site that he has no incentive clause for TD's, only for yardage. So, which is it?

I don't think he was upset because of missing out on some incentive for scoring tds. I think it had more to do with the fact that the play before he got the first down and thus felt entitled that he should've had the attempt to score on the next play.

Ingram can get a bonus for reaching 1000 yards rushing and 1200.
Yesterday had nothing to do with money. It's the fact that Payton has continued to short Ingram over the years. Ingram converted the 3rd down and felt like he should have finished the drive. This also happened last season vs the Cowboys when Khiry scored from the 1 when Ingrams TD was overturned.

Instead of accusing Sean Payton of shorting him, he should thank Sean Payton for keeping him on the team despite his unreliable play over the years.
He gets hurt way too often and he fails to get tough yardage when it actually counts.
Also, he doesn't fumble that often, but when he does it's at a pretty terrible time.

When is a good time to fumble?

Not this ignorant shite again.
He's fumbled in two games this season.
One was in a win against the Seahawks.
The other was in a 6 point loss to the Chiefs where 7 of their points came on an interception return.
If Drew doesn't throw the Pick-6, the Saints win.

"he fumbles at inopportune times" and the question was when is a good time?
So only when we're up a billion points I guess.
Because Seattle was early enough it should have been fine.
KC was late on a damn good defensive play trying to mount a comeback.

He's a touchdown away from a 100k bonus. I'd be pissed too
This is total BS. If you don't know don't just make shite up. Hightower has a TD bonus NOT Ingram. He should be happy for his teammate that makes considerably less $ than he does. Screw Ingram. I hope we trade or cut him in the offseason. Who's next?

Payton was the one that wanted him to resign

The media did report the false info on Ingram. CBS and Fox ran with it like idiots
Here are the incentives for the season

How did Odell Beckham fall in to an Ingram/Saints thread? All the points you've made, should also speak for Brandon Cooks. People on the board dogged Cooks for two weeks over a twitter post that was left to interpretation. I for one would rather guys that want the ball, even though Ingram could've done it another way, his passion on the field is what winners use to succeed.

Cooks was whining a few weeks ago when he didn't score against the Rams and now Ingram today( I guess that's why he was mad).
There's a difference in not scoring a td and not having one pass thrown your way. Cooks did not get an opportunity to make a play the entire Rams game. He was a glorified run blocker that was taken out on run plays lol. It doesn't compare to Ingram's case at all.

I mean while there is a bit of point there, it undoubtedly compares. See this:

It's because he gets pancaked by cornerbacks. He can run decently if the o-line makes a big enough hole, but he has proven time and again that he can't get the tough short yards.

He's averaging 5.1 ypc, but gets pancaked by corners?
quote:
Mark Ingram is the likely workhorse running back if he can stay healthy; last season, his 59.4 elusive rating was seventh in the NFL among qualifying backs, and his 2.9 yards after contact per attempt was the fifth-highest mark in the league.
And that was with a worse oline
Furthermore, according to sportscharts, he has a lower % of runs stuffed than Hightower. Also had a lower % last year than Ivory, who I think anyone can agree runs hard
LINK
According to that link, he gets a less percentage of runs "stuffed" than Ajayi, Martin, Freeman, McCoy, West, Gordon, Hyde, Ivory, Gurley, Blount, Anderson, Murray, West, Forte, Steward, Hill, Lacy, Elliott, Miller, and Ware.

READ. I'm not talking overall, anywhere in the field. But SHORT yardage. I.e. 2nd and goal from the 4. He gets stood up a lot.
