You mean shorts like when electricity can't find it's way all the around circuit?

Why did you limit it to coonasses? I ain't a coonass nor are most of my friends and we all call them short pants.

I don't think the "short pants" and "long pants" is a cajun thing. I grew up in Alabama, and that's how I referred to them. I've got a buddy from Tucker, GA who does the same. I had never even realized it until my wife (not from the south, no pics) pointed it out.

I did some contract work in Jersey years ago. Old school Italians called them the same thing.
