Why do u say it is far fetched? He s been here forever and I would never have him leaving but it's not just coming out the blue. Hopefully they lock him up cause that's a big loss man

Sorry if already posted, but I heard from a sauce or a sauce that it's done but Alleva is out of town and that's why they haven't announced it yet. Anybody know where Joe is?

If Raymond left, could we bring back Cooper? He was great at identifying db talent. PP, Mo, Captain Munerlain, etc.

with Canada in as OC/QB coach, would be incredible to snag Traylor for another position when the NCAA approves the expanded coaching staff rules in January

Word from the Pitt Rivals board is that Pitt offered 1 million to keep Canada. I'm not sure what we offered. I know we can beat their offer. 1 million is a lot from Pitt, though.

sounds like a bargain given that we were ready to give kiffin close to 2 million

No doubt. I'd be fine paying 1.5 million.
If he kills it here, he'll be an even hotter commodity than he is now. Just look at what one year here did for Aranda. No doubt he sees that. He'd be crazy to stay at Pitt.

Just for giggles, how big will the melt be if Canada stays Pitt?

I have to say, you are obsessed with LSU.

Except that Kiffin was never coming here. And O was formulating his recruiting plan based on him being here. And the shite hit the fan 3 days ago. And Ed O is now trying to fix it
How do you know that? If I were Kiffin trying to find another job as either a coordinator or a head-coach, I wouldn’t burn my bridges with Saban unless I absolutely had to. In other words, I wouldn’t tell Saban that I was planning to leave Alabama to go to LSU if I couldn’t find a head-coaching job unless I had to. Nobody is going to know how he will react. He may just fire me on the spot. Hence, I wouldn’t say anything to Saban until and unless I already signed the contract with LSU first.
On the other hand, if I got lucky enough to get another head-coaching job somewhere such as FAU, as opposed to another coordinator job at LSU, then I wouldn’t tell him anything period. As smart people don’t ever burn bridges they don’t have to burn, especially with someone like Saban. That would be utterly stupid. Hence, obviously, Kiffin isn’t telling the full truth and that’s why so many people don’t believe him.
Hence, obviously coach O knew the score with Kiffin from the very beginning and understood why Kiffin had to keep it on the down low until after he signed his new contract with LSU, and that would be only in the case, of course, where Kiffin couldn’t find another head-coaching job. Meanwhile, coach O was willing to wait for his good friend who may or may not have been the best OFC in college football.

These things happen. It's not a reflection on LSU, it's a personal decision by the coach.

Nah, not many people melt like LSU fans, it's usually a good time when y'all miss out on coaches or recruits.

I guess we're just not as used to the bottom constantly falling out like you guys are, right?

Yeah I hate that in the last 6 years we've been to two national championships, won two sec championships and heading to the sugar bowl this year. I'll give you a second to think about that.
