Can someone smarter than me put that into a 3rd grade explanation for me as far as to what it means and why

So does this mean he is removing any connections to foreign governments? Considering Saudi is totalitarian and probably owns the businesses associated with the deal.

Trump has shutdown some of his businesses that have ties to Saudi Arabia, I'm assuming so as not to be a conflict of interest with his presidency.

Trump was working with the Saudis?!?
They're just as dangerous as Iran, if not more.

So he shut down his own businesses that were conducting business in Saudi Arabia just now?
Wow.
So, all the years before, it was cool?

Agree. Remember, some of the 911 hijackers were Saudi nationals (no Iranians, iirc). And the Saudi's are certainly not hurting for money if they wish to use that wealth for nefarious deeds like terrorism.
As for radical Islam, the Saudis are certainly no less radical compared to Iran (indeed, I would contend that the average Iranian citizen is less radical than the average Saudi). Iranians have had a long history of being very moderate and westernized prior to the 1978 fascist takeover by Khomeini. Moreover, Iran still has sizable minorities that aren't Muslim (or are recent converts). Remember this is where the Persian kingdoms once ruled -- and they weren't Islamic.

so, charity takes $$$ from Saudi Arabia = BAD
businessman personally pockets $$$ from Saudi Arabia = OK
Of course the guy has thousands of llc's. These could just be businesses on paper only.

He wasn't the Head of State at the time. While I think it is morally questionable to do business with them as a free American, a President sure as frick shouldn't do business with them due to their radical human rights atrocities. This is a great thing what Trump is doing here.

Agreed. Iranians actually openly admire many parts of American culture. The Saudis forbid all of it. The two differences between the Saudis and the Iranians is that the Saudis are far less free and the Saudis have corporate interests that keep them somewhat in check. If for instance (and hopefully we will) learn to be energy independent from them and only utilize their oil for lube, they'll get much more violent than Iran ever was.
