Out of curiosity who do you think we should've hired? Please don't say Herman or Fisher. Neither wanted LSU or they'd be here. Who was next? Honestly, other than Scott Frost or gambling on PJ Fleck I'm kinda glad O's getting his chance.

Why are glad ed orgeron is getting a chance?
He has never ran a successful offense, defense , or program.
Vandy wouldn't interview Ed Orgeron yet youre glad lsu did. What the actual frick?

same page, ricky.

Brother, i just do not understand these lsu fans that are content and happy with this hire. Its mind blowing to me.
They are excited about a coach that wouldnt get interviewed at Kentucky or Vandy. Derrick Mason at Vandy has a better resume than Ed Orgeron and these people are giddy.

"Saban hates the spread offense, complains about it like a whiny bitch."

Bama has changed the recruiting specifically adding more speed to the defense. Saban no longer fears the spread offense.

FYI you have a bunch of downvotes because you have a wall of text that's basically just you bitching and complaining.

You need to nut up and stop letting Bama live rent free in your mind.

Its more effective than the prostyle.no one recruits the oline talent to run a prostyle offense against bama.while Bama's secondary is good, it doesnt conpared to their front 7. Bama was able to put 2 nts on the field last year.no cfb prostyle oline can handle that.

No one is topping Bama while Saban is there. They may go undefeated for until he retires.

it is pitiful to see the accolades given to bama/saban coming from some of the LSU fan base.
how about these type of fans just go ahead and support bama.
some of y'all really suck.

I'm seeing a lot of downvotes, but so far, not one single valid argument against what I've said. Could it be that O supporters are largely uneducated and can't put a rational counter argument together?
We're also racist and dangerous too right?

It's the truth. Sorry if it's tough for you to hear it. You're basically admitting that you know what i'm saying is true, but are complaining because of "negativity". Yet you O pumpers call us the "snowflakes". Fine, i'll drink the koolaid and live in delusion like the rest of you...

Alleva made a quality hire by hiring a career defensive line coach with a 10-25 all time record. No other coaches wanted a multi million dollar a year job, limitless talent, and a packed stadium... Nobody. We are lucky to have Orgeron because of all the other teams in college and the NFL who were about to kick the door down and beg him to coach their teams. He's going to bring Kiffin (although kiffin said he wants to stay at Alabama) and everything will be great. Alleva is a great AD and is not over his head.....

See? Positivity.

We fired our best coach in our history and struck out on his replacement.

Oh yes, stats from long time past don't mean shite. Les Miles and LSU could have been the dynasty Bama is today if we would have gotten a good OC and let him coach after Crowten. Hard head fricked that up and he regressed after the Bama #1 game in 2011. After that he went further downhill.

Sure we let him go for good reason.... and then Orgeron did much better than Les's sorry arse was doing for us Lately!! With his own team!! O will make the coaching moves and let them coach...Let it play out before your crappy judgement about Les's record. It was only good because of great defenses and lucky plays, and full of clock screw ups, bonehead calls, stupid predictable offenses, etc....

1) We need to assume that the LSU offensive strategy will be much better and flexible compared to the LSU offenses in the last 6+ times LSU has played Bama

2) We need to assume the the LSU QB drought is over, and that our QB development and skills will be much better.

3) We need to assume that the LSU offense and QB will be a better match for one another than over the last 6+ years.

4) LSU's Defense has been good enough to beat Bama almost every time we have played,

6) LSU's special teams will be better moving forward.

In other words, Miles, and his offensive remnants, are gone, and the LSU defense will be LSU strong moving forward.

Moving forward, the LSU chances will be much improved, and considering LSU has played Bama good, even with the inept Miles offenses (and the remnants of that in the 2016 season),

Therefore, LSU can beat Bama with Saban.

I agree with you. This board has become a menstral convention. The hire has been made. Let it play out.

So in only a week, we've gone from; "O is going to lock down the in-state talent", "He's going to bring in an elite OC", and "let his coaches run things"

Now that some of you are realizing what a nightmare this is it's;

"We need to assume the offense is going to get better", "nevermind those 2 linebackers we lost we didn't need them anyway", and "Just let it all play out and see what will happen"

Make the SEC shite their pants by hiring Briles.

I am pretty familiar with Kiffin and somewhat with Briles so I looked him up and researched his history.

Outside of RG3 at Baylor and Wes Welker at TT I do not see a long list of players he has developed. They obviously did something right because of the video game numbers they put up in Big12... but it was the Big12. Also the dude is 62 yrs old and eligible to draw social security - not much longevity there.

I do know his type of spread is very effective running the ball and passing as well. I am not sure if this is similar to Malzahn offense or what. I will let others comment on that. I believe he could do a good job but I am not completely convinced that a Big12 offense is the ticket.

The problem is that the Bama Bias allows Bama to get into the playoff with 2 losses. Not only do we need to beat them, but so does two other teams.

Or the Big 10 CG, where Child Molester U scored 38 points on Wisky. And we said Les was running a Big 10 offense? If only.
