How does LSU have more players in the NFL when Alabama = #1 class over 5 yrs

This is something I have been thinking about a lot lately because it has been advertised multiple years that LSU has more current players in the NFL. Most of those NFLSU players are in their first 5 - 7yrs. So, if Alabama has the #1 recruiting class averaged over the last five years, why do more LSU players seem to be making in the NFL? Doesn't it seem like Alabama should have double the amount of players in the NFL ,if you went by recruiting rankings and national championships? So, what's the deal? Do their players get more wear and tear at Bama and hurt their longevity in the NFL? This may have been discussed in another thread, but I was really curious to know if anyone had any thoughts on this.

They burn out..Alabama plays all those Championship games, lots of wear and tear in meaningful games...;)

See, there are great college players that suck in the NFL, and good college players that are great in the NFL.. College talent doesn't always translate to the NFL.. Exp. Johnny, jamarcus.. Exp Tom brady

Those recruit rankings obviously aren't very good. In their defense, though, they can't judge who has a good work ethic or who is highly competitive. Also, the ideal college athletes aren't necessary the ideal NFL talents.

Miles was an absolute lights out identifier and recruiter of talent. But when talent is equal then coaching and adjustments is what wins and that's where he was found wanting.

It's simple dude. Recruiting rankings are not set in stone and they evaluate the player based on their high school performance against other high school kids in their class. It's very subjective. Once a player reaches college and has to compete with other players closer to their talent some do not pan out like their ran king suggests. Some guys continue to develop once they get into college ball and some guys don't develop almuch at all and stay the same as they were when they were incoming freshmen. Recruiting rankings and evaluations are an inexact science. Kids from lsu tend to develop very well in college and transition easily into the nfl. That's about it.

First, lsu has recruited very well aside from Bama. Not quite as good, but still good.
Second, some 5 and 4 stars don't make it in the NFL.
Third, some 3 stars do make it in the NFL.
Fourth, other factors like injuries, lack of commitment, etc can affect a player's chance of making it in the NFL.

Anyone who commits to Bama gets a 50 point jump in their ranking just because Bama wanted them. Built in bias.

I think that Saban and staff actually get the most because of the ability to develop and cap the max potential, where our staff leaves a lot to be desired, and that leaves a bigger ceiling for our players, longevity among our NFL players is due to this fact that we may have just as much physical talent but bama gets everything out of their players

we still have guys who were recruited by Saban and never played against him at Bama who are still in the NFL.
We've been good longer.

there corners, safeties and running backs flunk in the NFL because they are just really physically gifted but don't have to play well because the olines and dlines are so good therefore the running back just runs straight forward through a huge gap and the corners just play basic coverage and the ball is always thrown bad

Some highly drafted guys do not pan out on special teams etc. When you're drafted high, the team expects more impact. Guys like Russell Shepard and James Wright go undrafted / late round but are key special teams contributors. So even though, they haven't had great stats, they contribute on a level higher than the risk the team took to get them or pay them.

My opinion on what put Bama ahead of LSU are the players they got from Louisiana. Without them, they wouldn't be the dynasty they are today. And if they had gone to LSU, they'd become part of our local folklore in part of making LSU a dynasty. Some of those recruitments were shady to say the least.
We can't get every player from Louisiana, but the ones that grew up with LSU Tiger posters on the walls of their rooms, that's worse than anything. With Miles/Cameron finally gone and the best defensive coordinator in the business(Pruitt doesn't compare), I don't see why they don't want to rep the boot and take down Goliath.

I think Alabama's approach to PED's is to win championships and help young men achieve generational wealth. After the combine testing, the draft, and contracts are secured, there is less incentive to continue the risky practice of using those PED's. They lose their edge and can't compete against the athletes who do continue their use.
I have no evidence, but history has shown this to be true in every lucrative, competitive sport dominated by physical prowess rather than honed skill.

One scout mentioned: high school to college recruit is all about physical measurables, while college to pro is all about leverage and technique.
