I have no faith in Joe, look at all of his hires. He pretty much either gets bullied or raped. Its kind of ironic he botched the duke lax case so bad since he actually is raped all the time in these cases.

Fisher tried calling the bluff, but LSU broke off talks.
Same thing happend on Herman's side.
Basically, Herman's agent really pissed off LSU because LSU was willing to meet Hermans demands.
Lsu really likes Herman but will not get in bidding war for him because they do not consider him equal to Saban and Meyer yet.
Not sure what's going to happen, but if true, I like Alleva's approach. sounds like intense negotiations with LSU having clearly identified its position, holding true to how they have it evaluated, and not allowing the potential end result to cloud judgment during negotiations. LSU isn't afraid to draw a line; which needs to happen some times. LSU also appears to have some leverage in this scenario as it appears that they have walked away from the negotiations with both the JF and TH camps, and all parties know that there are 3 viable options in LSU's eyes. Guess we'll figure out who really wants to be here. Your move TH and JF.

I am brand new here. Got approved this morning. Been a tiger fan since 1956 starting at seven years old. I know a lot of history of these tigers through the years. I have followed this board since Coach Miles terminated. I for one am being patient to see exactly what happens. If i was placed in O's shoes im sure it would have been tough to re-invent the wheel with offense midstream. But, with that being said, im excited. those tiger men accomplished what they did. Im hoping the best coach gets the job. So i will keep following and hope for the best for everyone here. Geaux TIGERS!!!

This is spot on. It is ok to walk away from the table. IF Fisher really wants to come to LSU, then he will have to climb back to the table and LSU will have leverage. Many on here do not understand how this process works. If you are not willing to stand up and walk away, you will keep getting pushed around. If he doesnt come back then he was never serious in the first place.
Try it next time you buy a car after negotiating for 2 hours. Many dealerships will magically call you back with your last deal.
