Oh, and BTW, speaking of really knowing something...the offer was $6.8m, and $300k for tax allowance.

If they're really quibbling over a few hundred thousand dollars, just shows too much motivation toward money and a flaw in character. If so, this will not end well. May not be apparent right away, but in the long run... Book it.

1 Timothy 6:9-10 "Those who want to be rich, however, fall into temptation and become ensnared by many foolish and harmful desires that plunge them into ruin and destruction. 10For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. By craving it, some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows."

Yeah, you're right. Jimbo should just uproot his life that he has started and had for a decade now and just move to baton rouge without getting any more money than he already has. Get real dude. The LSU football head coaching job is one of the most stressful jobs in all of sports. More stressful than florida state. He knows what is expected of him here and if he doesn't pan out it could be the last bigtime head coaching gig he has in his life. Pay the man what is fair and competitive according to the job he has to do. That's what he wants and I hope that's what lsu gives him. Don't forget jimmy sexton is the one handling this bidding war, it's his job as an agent. I bet you would do the same thing if you were in his shoes.
