There's a reason he's been a positional coach his entire career (minus ole miss). O is a great motivator and can teach the d line, but I don't think anyone is confusing him for a tactician. But he does say geaux tigers like a bayou boy so we should hire him as head coach.

He got a bad rap during his time at Ole Miss. He was not ready to take over a program like that because Ole Miss was falling apart . Cutcliffe had left the cupboard bare. Not shilling for O, but I just wanted to put the Ole Miss thing in perspective. Also, Nutt started winning with Orgeron's recruits.

What is funny is GG got the "he's an idiot" reputation for writing what we all now know to be true about Miles' tenure at LSU. GG, like some of us on here, saw it a long time ago. Miles will not change, he is going to run his offense, he has favorites that will play and he will not vary, etc.

There weren't many besides the sunshine pumpers who didn't see that.

GG is an instigator and a troll. I refuse to read anything of his.

it is disturbing to me that this thing seems to shift week to week.

Right. It's the same as how the A&M game saved Les last year. I actually didn't want him fired but at the end of the day, whether he stayed or left shouldn't have come down to one game. It has to be about body of work and I can admit that there was cause to let him go despite my personal feelings about it.

sound about right on everything I've read and been told by those who have talked to Alleva camp

he like both a lot

I expect LSU win the next 2 games

so we're going to have O meet his goals...

fans will be happy with 2nd place finish in SEC considering we fired our HC

The question is, is O the best man available for the job?

i think sumlin will be there no matter what in 2017. but he will be the number 1 hot seat coach if he loses to lsu.

This is the end of year 5 for Sumlin. This could well be the end if aTm is itching for a change. I have not seen that this year because for most of it he was undefeated. If they perceive an option to get Tom Herman is open then I think it may happen this year.

If I was an aTm admin in the situation this year I would be sitting on the coaching change sidelines with my cards close to my vest and whispering to nobody. And when Texas is sitting there pondering whether to fire Strong or not they swoop in for the kill and take Herman out from under them. I would not be surprised if they have not been talking all season long anticipating the Sumlin Slump.

I cannot believe this. How did these people become our Powers That Be

pick between these two.....

#1-long time LSU lovers that have dedicated many selfless hours volunteering to make LSU a better university. their loyalty to the university has been stellar for many years and have gradually worked their way up to be much esteemed friends of the university.

or

#2-donated shite loads of money to the athletic dept. and demanded a spot at the table or no go on the dough.

the real world, capitalism, money talks, etc, etc

your ignorance never ceases to amaze me. these so called "losers" are probably the biggest winners in the state.

we are NOT talking about the school. we are talking about one dept. of the school and the one dept. that has nothing to do with education.
