im a devoted lsu fan living in the smack of hog country. im curious how you think the lsu opponent's rank lsu as their 'rivalry/big game'? im just trying to compare what these fans think/are in terms of rivalry terms. besides bama, these fans talk so much shite about the lsu game as the most important on the schedule. idk if im an entitled lsu fan or due to the recent hogs success against lsu

Ar-Kansas is about the 6th game at best on the line of giving a shite.
Bama
auburn
Ole piss
Florida
A&M
Uga or Tenn if we play them
Big non conference game, like whisky
Then ar-Kansas.

Maybe it should be a little higher considering they've run us out of the stadium the last 2 years.

maybe not as we won 9 of the last 15

Ole Miss is the correct answer for most hated. Y'all hating on Bama are either in your mid 20s at oldest or just short sighted. frick everything about Ole Miss.
1. Ole Miss
2a. Alabama
2b. Auburn
2c. Florida
3. Arkansas
4. Texas A&M
5. Miss State
...Tulane?

I hate when people talk about
This/our team didn't 'care' about that game, thats why we didn't win. Bama fans LOVE to say that about the OU game a few years back
It's really pathetic

I don't believe in hating the handicapped...

Tulane
Not really, except for the old timers who 'member when it was a big game. I just want Tulane to not be fricking terrible, that's all I want.

Bama is the only relevant game, TBH. It makes or breaks the season.

Ole Miss
A&M
Bama
Florida tops the everybody else list.

I'm with you except I'd maybe flip aTm with Arky.
And if LSU still played Tulane it would be up there but...

I couldn't disagree more.
Emotion and intensity are a huge factor in how a team performs, especially college teams. It's completely natural to have highs and lows, and a playing so-so opponent, especially after a big, emotional game is very hard to get up for.
And that absolutely affects performance. I've seen it happen for 50 years.

Yes, I understand Tulane was a rival, but that origin was when both were in the SEC. Tulane left the SEC in 1966 and really hasn't been relevant since.
Rivalry games also need to be competitive, and we've won the last 18 games. Tulane is a non-factor in football and I think the rivalry died a long time ago.

I thought the question was the eye of the opponent not LSU?
Opponents hate:
Ole Miss Arkansas and Texas A&M are all 1a 1b and 1c
Then you would have:
2)Mississippi State
3)Auburn
4)Florida
5)Alabama

I live here as well and it is quite amazing the importance of this game for the fans. The Little Rock sports talk show is live from Fayetteville this morning, don't think they've been there this year. LSU week is above all other weeks in fans wanting to win, jokes of the opponent, and downright hatred. From Jesus hates Lsu to piggybacking with #neverLSU
They ask me as a LSU fan and of course I want to win but when I tell them they are behind Ole Miss, Bama, A&M, Auburn, and Florida as far as considered a "rival". I first get a comment on recent games and then an almost discouraged "oh". They can't comprehend it.

So being 9-6 against them makes them an afterthought?

The A&M fan base (especially on tRant) loves to talk shite to us like we are some big rival when the fact is, we barely even consider them as SEC.
