I just read where Fournette just said that he probably wouldn't be healthy for the rest of the year.

talking heads on the various sports networks suggested that he sit out his final year.

I am not aware of the extent of his injury, but it seems to me he is choosing to sit out the rest of his final year

T. White came back
K Beckwith came back
LF7 might come back

He should not come back.
He should not even play the rest of the season.

the OP is incredibly naive.

There is zero (and I mean ZERO) chance that Fournette returns next year. Nor should he.

Even with his insurance, he'd be risking many, many millions of dollars on a Lattimore-type injury and putting his family's financial future at risk.

I love the guy, but he must go.

That's the secret sauce to Bama's success - keeping seniors around means your juniors and sophs have more experience, giving you a much stronger rotation.

That has nothing to do with Saban, and everything to do with improving their draft status enough to compensate for the year of lost earnings in the NFL. They get their junior draft grades from the NFL, not from Saban.

So Saban actually has very little to do with getting them to return.

Lol....there you have it. Just went top 5, guaranteed. I've really never seen someone give so many opinions and act like they are fact...and be wrong so much.

Really think we are a better team and less predictable when LF7 is not playing. Injury may have slowed him this year but I simply don't see the same level of intensity from him this year. Think his eye is already on NFL and he's playing it safe. Sub 40 yards on a Bama defense...NFL wont get any easier..sorry.

well...he needs to go ahead and enter the draft..now having said that Cleveland's line could have opened up holes against bama....but, Cleveland's line aint gonna open up holes at their level...so, Fournette might have trouble up there as well....The Cowboys have had a great line last year and continues that this year...the only reason they get Elliot is because the rest of the team sucked to a 4-12 reacord and a great running back like Zeke Elliot gets to run behind an "All-Pro" line that is going to be there in Dallas for a while...can you imagine Fournette running behind that line?

And that got me thinking

You missed the mark!

2016 NFL Draft 1st Round Rookie Salary Projections
1 Rams $27,946,656
2 Eagles $26,685,484
3 Chargers $25,882,931
4 Cowboys $24,965,720

Do you really think LF7 will give up $27,946,656 to play college ball another year and risk permanent injury?

Thanks for all the replies, but nobody has pitched in yet on my actual question: what happens if, for whatever reason, he DOES stay for another year?

Go play this useless game on your fantasy football site.

I really feel bad for him. All the hype and it's hasn't produced much. I hope he finds better coaching and more success in the pros.

After all, it's not like one more year would make him any LESS of a 1st-round lock.

The holes just aren't there in the pros........
the frick they arent, what do you think the OL does? no RB can break a hundred when theyre hit as fast as 7 was on Saturday, no one is breaking 5 tackles every run.

Fournette is better than Elliott, and Elliot went 4th overall.
