Went to Zaxby's this weekend (Baton Rouge on Airline)

Not all that impressed. The orange sauce they give you cannot hold a candle to Cane's sauce. Toast and fries were pretty good. Chicken i thought was overcooked. Batter was pretty dark and hard. My wife liked that they have a ranch dipping sauce, which i also switched to because i just did not care for their signature Zax sauce.
Anyway, we wanted to try something new and we did. Next time we're in the mood for chicken fingers, we will be going to our local Cane's.

I went Saturday around 3:00 for the first and last time. I agree with your assertion about the sauce, and not to mention, the slowest most inept service. It took well over 15 mins.

Used to be a Zaxby's guy but last couple times I've been underwhelmed. The wings and things are pretty decent. Chicken can be hit or miss and prepackged sauced isn't great

Agree with all dat. Their sauce tastes like some lame salad dressing. How long did it take them to fill your order? They were slower than Popeye's on a bad day when I went.

Not bad for a Georgia based company just as Raising Cane's is not bad for a Texas based company.

Zaxbys has always been worse than Canes

Went to the same location last week. 35 minutes later, walked out with some of the worst chicken tenders ever.
The are doing a great job of making Cane's look great.

If you go that location of Zaxby's, you're better off going to Rouse's for plenty of variety on food.

The only thing that Zaxby's does better are the fries. Canes has superior chicken, toast, and sauce. Hell, even Zaxyby's has small fingers.

Canes is still good but it was better when it first started...kinda pricey now for what you get

I'm never going there again. The location in Gonzales was great but we waited 25 mins in drive thru for wings and got cold wings and fries. When I went inside to speak to a manager he had no idea that I was told to pull up.
