I got a Patagonia in high school and it was great until it fell apart this year. They don't even make the same style anymore, I went to the Patagonia store and they let me pick out a new jacket no questions asked.

Tailgating/game Cheap Stearns Throwaways
I keep a couple of cheap throwaways in the boat and in my vehicle.
I have a nice HSM Trench Coat for the one (or fewer) time a year I need it.
