I'm a little upset at myself (Scrubs)

Up until about a month ago, I wrote off Scrubs as some mindless show that was only funny to the masses of sheep. This opinion was based off of watching some random episode from the middle of the series. After seeing the positive reviews over and over on this site and seeing it pop-up on my Netflix recommendations I gave it a shot. I freaking love this show. I don't know why I gave it so much unfounded hate for so long. It seems though you may not appreciate this show and it's characters if you don't watch from the beginning to see how all the relationships get started and learn their dynamics.

Pretty much how it is for most shows on tv.

Scrubs is one of those cult comedies that have all the little inside jokes that you only get if you watch the show often. How I Met Your Mother and Scrubs are my two favorite shows that do this. So good. So much rewatch value. They will age well into the future. Love Scrubs.

Well sure, but the dynamics of the relationships in scrubs seems more important than most.

Every time I hear "Africa" by Toto, I reflexively say, "Mmmm, mango body butter."

Not only is it funny but ive had multiple doctors and medical professionals tell me that when its serious its the most accurate show on television when portraying what doctors, especially new doctors, go through

This is certainly true. I loved it in large part because it realistically displays lots of aspects of residency and medical practice. I can't think of any other show that does this.

Man, I'm glad this thread came up. I'm going to have the house to myself this weekend and a Scrubs marathon sounds perfect for this bye week. Been a long time since I've binged on this show - one of my favorite comedy series ever.
EEEAAAGGLLLLLLLLEEEEEEEE!!!!

I love Scrubs.
Season 7 was on track to be better than the couple of seasons preceding it, but the damn writers strike ruined it. Just like they ruined what, IMO, was the best season of The Office (season 4).
Season 8 moved to ABC and just wasn't very good, except for the fantastic series finale.
Season 9 didn't happen. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. It was all a bad, bad dream.

I would argue that the Scrubs finale is the GOAT series finale.

I love scrubs for a few reasons.
1)They mix comedy and drama perfectly
2)There are no weak characters in the show, they all are pretty much money
3)They managed to not do gimmicky stuff in the show till very late
4)Sarah Chalke is a babe

Mother. Effing. This.
(Although Aziz Ansari was pretty funny during his arc).

How does scrubs compare to other hospital based sitcoms on tv now? (Chicago Med, Night Shift (if you haven't already, check out Shannon from this show, she's smoking hot), greys anatomy, etc)

Like someone said earlier, I've heard from doctors and nurses that Scrubs (especially when they're taking a more dramatic route) is more accurate than any other hospital show.
