Fumble for touchdown.

How bad of a call did we get on that play? I was sitting on that side of the field and after watching replay after replay, it was clear that we (LSU) scored. When the refs said it was down, my friends and well the rest of the crowd showed in disbelief. It just seemed to me the refs were not going make a call for us during the game.
One good thing though, was almost every time a ref made a bad call, our team responded and made them eat it.
First game to go to this year and glad I was able to see them punish Ole Piss. Now to rest up and get ready for the toothless wonders.
Btw, this is my first post, been a lurker for many years. Had to finally register and become a part of the rant! Have enjoyed it thus far.

I think they both were the correct calls. Nothing clear to overturn.
A couple PI penalties were garbage. Few times could've been called and wasn't.

Kelly was clearly down and the refs made the right call.

Ole Miss player was clearly down. It was the right call.

Both of them were ruled correctly

Had that been the Bama D on the field it would have been a TD with no review.

Good Call.
Pretty sure the only bad call all night was the non-pass interference on Jackson. (the 2nd called against him)

I can't stand that ref from last night. I remember him from previous games. The call itself was a good call, even though the ball looked like it had already started moving before the player was down.
The thing that gets me is how the frick would he be so quick to know that? There's no way you could tell that at real time in the heat of the action.
That's what I can't stand about that ref. I could see calling it a fumble/td, reviewing it, and then reversing the call after review in slow motion, etc. But this killjoy just automatically said the player was down as the call on the field. That ref acts like he can't stand to see an exciting play happen without throwing a flag and adding his .02 to the situation. Like a sheriff in a small town.

Both times the guy was down. Correct calls on both unfortunately.

Because its his job? Because he had a much closer and clearer view than you or I?

Yeah, the pass interference call was horrible as well. I agreed on the other fumbles, but I thought from looking at the replays, it was our ball.
Nonetheless, we won and looking forward to the next game.

You're right. Refs never miss things because it's their job .

So you think he should have made a wrong call because you weren't as close or in the same position as him?

On that one, I was sure he wasn't down until the LAST angle they showed on tv, and that one made it clear he was definitely down.

Agreed, i dont think either was a fumble but the PI's were garbage. Not only that the guy that threw the flag both times didnt have the best look. The guy that did never threw a flag

If you would stop trying to be such a jackass for just minute, and actually think about what I wrote...I wouldn't have to explain.
I said it was the right call, but it was still questionable enough to where they had to review it and slow it down to see what part touched the ground before the ball came out. In real time, you can't see that. And so what if he was closer and paid part time to officiate a game? You could be five feet away and a paid ref and you can't see that kind of detail in the heat of the action in real time. How many times do we see refs letting the play happen on a close call like that and making the call on the field be a fumble/td, only to reverse it after further review? All the time.
Not this ref. He was going to make damn sure the default call on the field was that the runner was down before the ball came out. It's easy to sit back and say, "oh yeah that was obvious, you're stupid". No it wasn't. It's real easy to say that with the luxury of hindsight, slow motion, and zooming in.

Refs really can't catch a break around here. Whether the get the call right or not, they're screwing LSU. it's a conspiracy I tell you.

both fumble calls were correct.
refs also missed a roughing/hands to the face on godchaux on kelly's pick in the third quarter.
