What other city has a 100 year championship drought and had a fan-related incident potentially cost them a chance to advance?

Let me ask this: can you name an example where a similar incident happened in another city and the fans were decent?
there you go...justifying it again.

The question I have is: will Bartman finally be able to go back to Wrigley if the Cubs break the curse? Maybe not even then, he seems to want no part of that attention even if people have buried the hatchet.

better question: what if he showed up for game 6 in the same outfit in the same seat

I suspect he may be beaten to death

100% chance he gets jumped by the entire fanbase

They are super paranoid and superstitious. I know most baseball fans are to some degree, but they are the extremists

Different scenario for a player and a regular ole dude like Bartman.

And also, I don't think Buckner was treated too kindly either.

It would be the most epic thing ever.

I'd just hope he had a security detail 10-20 deep hovering around him.

And unfortunately based on his response/no response over the last 10 or however many years, he'd also be the last dude to ever do that.

Why would Steve Bartman do that? He must still be a pretty big fan, obviously if he could do it over again he wouldn't have caught that foul ball

It was bad no doubt. Certainly worse than people clinging to it 13 years later but you're getting there.

Would be the greatest thing ever in history. Surrounded by about 20 giant bouncer types looking for people to start shite.

Same exact outfit and seat.

Would be amazing.

False narrative? Ok. Let me be clearer: A drought in baseball championships. Less of a false narrative for you??

Straw man? I never tried to refute his claim that the Bartman thing was trashy. I did call him on taking Chicago to task for being "exceptionally trashy." I'm not making up assertions or attacking assertions he didn't make, so where is the straw man you say I am attacking?

I wouldn't if I was him. If the prerequisite is the curse has to be broken first, then the whole point of that would be so the lunatics who harassed him could feel better about themselves afterwards.

Steve bartman should be allowed to throw out the first pitch for World Series game 3 assuming the Cubs make it. I problably wouldn't want him to do anything vs the dodgers

Tough call, but I'd prefer them to lose two in a row and miss out on the series.
