I drove from philly down, stopped in dc and nashville. I'd do the same thing if i had to drive again (stop in nashville)

yeah i agree with cuse. break up the trip by stopping a day in nashville, especially if you've never been. lots of good places to eat there and things to see. make a day there and then head to DC. the first half of the drive will be boring to shite but the second half will be more scenic between nashville and DC until you get near DC.
check the area where your airbnb will be. make sure there's easy parking. you should be able to get around the city using just the metro.
