I'm working offshore in Eloi Bay. After 5, I can fish. Im on a platform that's 20 ft high. I can only get 1/3 to 1/2 the fish I hook up on the crating. I'm mostly hooking pretty big trout 16-20 inches. There are also some reds there. I'm using a 7 ft 10-26 lb rated Ugly Stick with threaded line. What can I do to keep more hooked that high up?

Try using a treble hook for the trout. You can also try a drop net on a rope for the redfish.

Switch to a treble hook and you will most likely not have any more problems. I would also get a medium/heavy rod so you can horse them up

A heavy action rod, 50lb braided line or better, and a treble hook like suggested. Also if you can get a drop net tied to the rail and dropped to the water that will make netting easy.
