Spending 4 days/nights in San Diego. 2 nights in downtown San Diego and 2 nights in La Jolla. We are planning to visit Coronado Island, to book a sailboat tour, and to visit Torrey Pines National Park. Any other must-do or see items? Also, any restaurant recommendations? TIA

You ever been to the San Diego Zoo? If you have not, that is a must do if you enjoy zoos. It's one of the best zoos in the country.
I just got back from San Diego yesterday. Gaslamp area is really cool to walk around. We had breakfast yesterday morning at this really cool bar called Werewolf. Food was good and great atmosphere. Looked like it would have been a fun place to check out at night as well. I got the Homer pancakes(tasted like a giant frosted jelly donut/pancake...was amazing!).

We actually spent most of our time outside of San Diego(cause I had been before and done the zoo and Coronado Island). There is just so much to do in that whole area (Pacific Beach, Mission Beach). Drive 90 minutes and you can explore the Newport Beach/Huntington Beach area as well.

San Diego is amazing, but you can do most things INSIDE of the city in 2 days. there is so much to do within an hours drive.
i go for work all the time and we've done some cool trips.
i know it sounds crazy, but one of the best meals of my life was eating seafood on the coast in Tijuana.
Also, a very underrated part of SoCal is the Temucula Valley area. Its the SoCal wine region and its beautiful. took the wife and we had a blast. wine and great food all day.

La Jolla is pretty but kind of a bore....it's the rich suburb that every big city has...
