Who apparently used his prescriptions in a way the AMA and law enforcement are not too fond of.

Well, when you put it that way, he should get an award. I hear the Nobel prizes are up for grabs these days.

What is an OB/GYN going to do anyway?

Yeah it's not like they go through four years of undergraduate education, two years of preclinical education, two years of clinical education in all ranges of fields, a full year working 80+ hours per week after that treating every single common condition under the sun every single day (including Holidays and weekends), and then train for 3 more years actually doing what they want to do (in her case OB-GYN).

To answer your question, any physician, regardless of field, would be able to help in an unresponsive patient situation. You're trained for it from the day you enter medical school. You may not be as adept at that specific scenario as an EM physician or what have you, but you still spend thousands of hours above the layperson in clinical training.

so that you can then use trial and error to figure out whats wrong with your patients right?

"Dr. Im sick"

How do you know what this Delta worker was thinking? Yall frickers live in some fantasy world if you dont think discrimination against blacks doesnt exist. Just because you arent that way, doesnt mean others dont think this way. I get this shite all the time being a black engineer.

Was it the same flight attendant that is mentioned in this article? If not, your 1 time situation is irrelevant

Do you expect an all powerful being to just look you in the eyes and tell you what you have by some magical force? It takes trial and error, with a combination of a clinical knowledge base to come up with an answer for any diagnosis. Physicians aren't Jesus Christ.

You see, my post was sarcasm.

You might have picked up on that if you didn't assume I was being racist, which is what racist people do. Just like Tamekia.

Thanks for proving my point.

I've heard of petroleum engineers, civil engineers, electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, hell... even combat engineers... what exactly is a "black" engineer?

Scruffy also calls bullshite. And the assumption the people make in the medical field isn't race related. It is gender related. Every female physician is believed to be a nurse until proven otherwise.

Scruffy is correct.

My wife and I have discussed it over and over again. She has been accidentally assumed to be a nurse at every hospital and clinic she has ever been on staff. Interestingly, it is always women that make the mistake.

Never happened to me once. Not even in residency.

I find that hard to believe.I live in N.E. AL and have been treated, especially at the Hospital,by Doctors of all Races and several Nationalities.

I can't see a Doctor of any Sex or Race being turned away when a Person is unconscious.

Maybe they didn't kiss her arse the way she makes her Nurses and Patients.
