My Samsung is curved, I like it.
As far as on the way out, doubt it, Samsung absolutely swears by them so it would be a complete 180 for them.

They were never in.

I would think so since they don't sell very well however Samsung only offers their flagship model in curved this year. You can tell when you bring it up with any of the reps they are tired of getting beat up about it. I personally don't like the curve.

Yes, I have one and like it.
While shopping for TV's I had no intention of even considering curved ones. However while standing at the end of a long isle of TV's one stood out drastically from the others in side viewing angle, the 65" curve.
This satisfied my requirements for the space it is in, may not make a difference to most.

The reason there were curved TVs to begin with was because of technical limitations on 4k screens. They quickly overcame the limitations and were able to make them flat again. Marketing turned it into a gimmick.

I don't understand the appeal. Engineers worked for years to make TV's flat as possible - the one in my living room is 1.5" thick - to blend in anywhere and make it to where everyone has a big screen TV... and now you want to make it jut-out from the wall? It just looks funky.

I think they are pretty stupid.

We have a nice one in the upstairs living room.
It is pretty nice --- however, there is with out question a noticeable glare versus a flat screen.
Can lights and uplights cause no problem, but sunlight and hanging fixtures cause bad reflection.
At night - I love it.

My inlaws have a curved TV. I think it is actually pretty cool, especially if you're watching from an angle and not directly in front of the tv.
