Does anyone know when the lights on top of the Baton Rouge Bridge will come back on? Or why they haven't been on for the last couple of months? Just wondering. Thanks & Geaux Tigers!

I just have to ask why this is a concern to you?

I'll leave a box of bulbs at the foot of the bridge and you can climb up and change em.

That bridge is one of the worst bottlenecks on a major interstate in the entire country, and you are concerned about the lights on top for aesthetic reasons?

They should do something similar to the Texas St. Bridge in Shreveport, except a purple and gold theme.

They are probably doing maintenance. Changing light bulbs takes DOTD about 6 years.

I assume it's DOTD's responsibility. If it has anything to do with the BR Department of Public Works, it won't ever get done. They are beyond worthless.

MRB decorative lights were maintained by DOTD but we're transfered to EBR when the tolls on the CCC for removed. Call 311 and ask the city why they aren't lit up or do an ask the advocate.

Obarry is concerned about warming over BR, at least that's what someone mentioned to me.

They shut off the lights on the CCC when they were trying to scare people into renewing the tolls. Maybe they are playing some funding scare here?
