I won an Oculus Rift + Touch VR Headset as a reward at work, but honestly don't think I would ever use it (It was this or a bicycle, and I already have one).

It is absolutely brand new & unopened, purchased through Best Buy by my company and shipped directly to me. I have the Proof of Purchase, where I could probably return it to Best Buy for a credit/gift card for the $438.90 my company paid for this, but I would rather just sell it and get cash instead.

GAMEWARE & GameStop don't sell or buy anything Oculus. Any ideas of where I could sell it other than Craigslist?

I just let whoever the payroll provider is do it. I don't do payroll and I beg, plead, and demand that my clients don't do it all on their own either (although I have a few that use the payroll options in QuickBooks, but they are all clients that are very small and I never have tax or accounting issues with them). I wish everyone would do that. It's so much better for everyone involved when I'm able to just apply for SUI and State and not have to call the State to fix any errors. Definitely a good call to outsource that headache from the start!

There were a few people that posted replies that were almost fully correct, but none completely (mainly being off on SUI in Louisiana). Here is the exact breakdown...

Employer Per Pay Period Tax Responsibilities:
SS: 6.2%
MC: 1.45%
FUTA: 0.6% for the first $7,000 each employee makes
SUI: 0.1%-6.2% for the first $7,700 each employee makes (new businesses in 2016 are usually assigned the New Business Rate of 1.83%-3.2% by the LWC)

Also- that per pay period rate is high if you have only one employee. I'm a Payroll Consultant for Paychex in Baton Rouge (been doing this almost 5 years now), and see this every day. Hope it all works out! If you have any questions ever though (or want a quote that's much less than what you're paying), let me know!

You're right... I definitely should have started a thread about the infrastructure of the Bridge and how merging with the Intercoastal before splitting I-10 and 110 isn't sufficient before slipping this question about the lights in!

Does anyone know when the lights on top of the Baton Rouge Bridge will come back on? Or why they haven't been on for the last couple of months? Just wondering. Thanks & Geaux Tigers!
