Yes. Police, State Troopers, fire fighters and EMT crews were all dispatched to the coast to deal with the hurricane aftermath.

Yep. As of last night when I checked, weather.com forecast has Gainesville 10% chance of rain at noon on Saturday and 0% at night time. UF DA, coach, and team are cowards.

I don't get whats so hard to understand about this. Yes, conditions in Gville are part of the issue, but it was also about how hard the rest of the state was going to be hammered. Emergency, security, resources all may be needed elsewhere. As soon as Florida was in the main shadow last Tuesday, UF should have been forced to move location or postpone the game a few days (with the potential for cancel).

There has been ample precedent for how to deal with this that UF basically blew off.

That's why you postpone till Saturday night, Sunday or even Monday and take a wait a see approach of what comes of it at this point

Ridiculous to just cancel after stubbornly waiting

very minimal so far. however, you can't predict that in the day(s) prior to the storm. that's for sure.

Apparently not greatly affected, being on the west side of the storm. Know who else was not greatly affected, that would have gladly hosted the LSU/Fla game? 46 other states

Earlier report from Gainesville from this morning was a deadly wind of 23 mph with devastating 37 mph gusts. Everyone run for their lives. The Apocolypse is here. ^&$* Florida.

I agree with all of this. It's not a hard concept ... emergency personnel WILL be needed elsewhere ... BUT Florida easily could have agreed to play somewhere else Sunday -- Monday ... I mean really. We've done it ... more than once.
