you'r saying that knowing that they had OD'd. But, the folks in this video did not have that information. they could have been poisoned for all they knew.

Holy shite this country is fricked.

Why? Its not like its anything new, it was just caught on camera. I know people were standing around videoing it, but someone did call 911 right? At that point, what else could they have done? It was pretty obvious they were strung the frick out. And people being around videoing it.. That's just the society we live in today. Technology has made it easy for people to capture any moment at any time.. And if teenagers see things like that, it might make a few of them think twice before making decisions that will have a long term affect on them.

Once someone is an addict, I don't think its fair to say "they should just leave them there to die" because its not like they enjoy they way they are living, they spend their life either high or looking for their next hit. No one wants to end up like that, but one way to tackle the problem is to expose teenagers and younger people to what life becomes once someone becomes an addict and that a few bad decisions early in life can have a tragic long term impact.

Yeah, because if they were legalized, people would OD and act like idiots.

Oh wait.

As far as i'm concerned, they should have let them die. They did that shite to themselves, and there's too many ppl in the world anyway.

I hate to agree but at some point we have to stop saving these people. I blame narcane for the rise in heroine use. These people know that they will get saved and many of them are brought back multiple times.

I was behind a wreck yesterday in Covington. A truck flipped over and was spinning on the roof. Cars pulled over to render aid. Next thing I see is a work van (SHS Hospitality) drive through the wreck site (Hispanic Female Driver) while the passenger (Black Female) was videoing it on her phone. I haven't been that pissed off in a long time. The driver of the truck was attempting to crawl out of the busted out passenger window and they just trucked on through while videoing it because that's all they cared about was getting it on video to spread on social media.

If you read that article, do you still have the same opinion?

There was a segment on some show several months ago about the social impact legalization of drugs like heroin is having on Ireland and in within 6 months crime has gone down by a lot.. Addicts can go in and actually get their fix from a medical facility. The thought process is that its a problem that will always be around and since there are addicts who do eventually get clean, during the time they are addicts, they are at least knowing the product they are getting is clean.

I don't think the US would ever take this approach because the social impact it would have would likely have a bigger than you would imagine, negative impact on our economy. If all of a sudden there were no more "war on drugs" and the drug related crimes would disappear, there would not be a demand for certain types of law enforcement around the country. With the privatization of jails, the last thing the owners of those jails would want is a sudden decrease in the number of prisoners coming into jail.

There are probably other ways that are fueled by the illegalization of drugs (I am not talking about weed), but I am just saying that the current way the drug situation is tackled in this country isn't really the most beneficial way (to society as a whole), but it does have a benefit to the economy (as far as how much of a benefit, I am not sure, but its enough that it would cost a lot of people jobs)

I don't think its fair to label all black people because of the actions of a black college aged person.

There have been a few situations I have been in and the first people to stop and ask if they could help were black people. You make the comment as if every white person who would come across that situation would be some super hero.

Came here to say this. Imagine a bunch of white people standing around commenting on two dead black people with a complete lack of regard. Making comments like "when they wake up they might think they zombies", "look at these black folks on that pipe!", etc. Disgusting.
