Yet the NFL on the reg can't look at the replay and just get it right.
I'll preface this by saying I have no clue what those refs looked at in a replay to say there was "nothing definitive"

But, if they were truly rigging games, this play and that call would literally be a call they would NEVER make. If you're going to rig games, it has to be subtle so no one catches on. They'd never make a call like this in an effort to rig a game. No chance.

Did I miss something? The ref is signaling Washington ball and digging in the pile, while a Cleveland player is holding the ball in the air?

Were there two balls on this play? The video cuts off as they are pulling the last couple of players from the pile. Was there another ball?

But first time at live speed, can't blame the refs. Hell, I don't blame the ref for not seeing Duke with the ball either, but that's as far as I'll go considering she came in signaling Redskins ball.

How can they signal a change of possession when they are hunting through the pile looking for a ball that's not there? I mean if they were adamant about the recovery and stuck to that, fine. But they're clearly hunting through the pile looking for the ball.

Not putting the tinfoil hat on, but damn that's bad.

Some fans just can't admit these calls should not be happening. They blame the refs, excuses, etc.

Maybe the only football they have ever seen was with replay. I mean FFS the only reason they have replay is to catch this very thing.

What I do know is there are plays, fumbles, catches, that get reviewed (or don't) and the replay shows what any normal human being can see. Yet the REPLAY refs can't get it correct.

I don't know, nor care if the NFL is rigged, so back off.

I don't disagree with any of your first points, yes how in the world does the ref signal 'Skins ball, that's implausible.

All I'm saying is, if the NFL is rigged, these are the last plays in the world that they'd do this on. If you're rigging something this big, you're not going to seek out the most obvious play in the world and not overturn them on a replay and thus garner all kinds of attention to you rigging process.

"nothing definitive" other than the guy had possession of the football.

I think it's great some of you guys can watch obvious catches, fumbles, whatever the case may be and see a replay and still be brainwashed.

I'm so happy my brain doesn't immediately jump to CONSPIRACY when something strange happens.

ETA: If you think the games are rigged, why do you watch?

ETA2: I wonder why the NFL authorized a blowout on prime time Sunday night football...

That's my main issue, it's not a one off. This happens way too often. And the kicker is now we have replay.

If you don't think the NFL is rigged, you're brainwashed.

He has Washington is survivor. Couldn't take the risk of the Browns spoiling his year.

OU Oregon onside kick

That was worse. The guy with the ball walked to his sideline with the ball (almost paraded it around)...while the refs signaled Oregon had recovered.

And they reviewed it for 5 minutes...and the call stood.

And then they went and got the ball back from the Oklahoma player, to spot the ball for Oregon.

I forgot how bad that call was

The ball goes 9 yards, Oregon touches it first. The ball automatically should have been awarded to Oklahoma.

Then Oklahoma has a clear recovery of the ball...

That is just unfathomably bad. And they reviewed it.

There have been a lot of bad calls in College Football history.

But with the advent and support of replay and cameras.

This might be the worse. Because it was checked and double-checked...and still came out blind as a bat.

There wasn't a single person who thought Oregon had recovered but the officials.

LINK

This angle shows the Browns running back and the Redskins #54 as the only two players with a chance to recover...but it looks like the Redskins player misses. This is corroborated with the Browns player standing up with the football a few moments later.

I think the NFL is covering up a mistake made by the ONLY female ref.

She made a horrible call and the NFL is protecting her - simple as that.
