Not saying whether or not I agree about his sources. But Jimbo could have agreed to come here as indicated, and we know for a fact that King/Jindal flipped the script and kept Miles.

Oh, but he can't share that information for 3 weeks. What? He's going to wait until the whole world knows what UH's Big 12 outlook is and then he'll tell us whatever the current Herman rumor is and stress that he knew about it 3 weeks ago.

RE: the contract - I just briefly read it and will do so again, but I don't see an LSU exception. What I see is a promise by Fisher not to negotiate with another team until 2023. However, there are stipulated penalties if he does. If he even "negotiates" prior to that time, his contract terminates and HE must pay liquidated damages w/in 60 days to the tune of $5M if done so on or before 12/31/2016
Interestingly, note that the damage provision goes down to $3M on 1/1/2017.
If we are going after Fisher, it's in Fisher's and LSU's interest not to trigger that clause until 2017.
I don't have time right now. Does anyone see an LSU exception there?

Then it wasnt a done deal and thats what he said. Dalsu repeatedly kept pushing the announcement date back.

Herman gets a $5 mil bonus if Houston goes to the Big 12. While OU appears to be against expansion, presumably because they can't get marquee schools and BYU, who they could get, would cause PR issues, only 8 of the 10 schools need to vote in favor to move forward. So Herman may want to see whether UH will be in the running. It could also be a bargaining chip for him.

Exactly. He comes on here around midnight and posts some vague shite about coaches. He never directly answers replies to the posts he makes.

The University has already poured a TON of money into the football program and athletics in general. They have to because they arent getting any return on investment. In 2015 they went over budget when they wanted to reduce the football spending. And they arent doing well with attendance either. They are taking a huge gamble by pouring all this money into a program in hopes that it gets into a P5 conference. By the way things are looking right now, I dont think they get into the Big12.
