Well the only thing that may save my arse is that all the questions are opinionated, so basically no answer is wrong I just have to back it with actual text.

Midterm has 2 questions.

1. Why did LSU fire Les Miles only 4 games into the season?
2. Do they have a solid plan for a replacement, or is this going to be like their failed attempt to replace him after last season?

Those would be hard to explain. Good luck.

Every exam in my advanced calculus class at LSU consisted of one question. Toughest exams I ever took. Dr. McGehee would walk in write an equation or theorem on the chalk board, and you would do your best to solve it. The solution required use of multiple concepts covered in the course material. You got credit for each concept you applied correctly toward the solution.

This, I still get the goosebumps from a PDE problem using fourier series by hand in 90 minutes.

So stupid, I had a professor who did this too and it's basically "replicate my opinions which you are expected to extrapolate from an entire semester of being forced to listen to me bloviate about interpretive fiction as I present my subjective views as absolute fact."

college tests and term papers are a nightmare.

it gets you ready for a job in which if you fail a test on something you may or may not have had any chance to prepare for, maybe you lose your house, maybe your car, and maybe your wife.

Essay exams freaking suck. Too easy to know more about the subject then what us reflected on paper. No would always write way more than necessary to make sure I covered all ground. It was usually a winning strategy but it was a pain.

I think I hand wrote 7 pages for a political science 4000 level class final exam.

Dang that's a lot, it looks like my professor is looking for more quality of content then quantity. He told us we won't have much time to spend on each question, it's only a 50 minute class.

Wait...what?

How can knowing what quotes came from what book (so knowing the context, basically...) be a matter of opinion?

he thinks he is just going to be allowed to rap extemporaneously on the words in the quote, without comprehending context.

He's going to pick quotes out of the books, and I'm going to have to explain how they relate to the story and shite like that
