Etling vs Miss St
If there are any other specific player highlights you'd like to see, feel free to suggest.

Thank you for taking the time to do this

Appreciate the work.
ETA: Out of his 30 throws, he only made a couple bad throws. One being the ball he threw to Chark that was almost picked off. He overthrew a couple balls, but even then, some of those were thrown away from a defender and to where only his receiver could catch it. Overall, a damn good performance by Danny.

Skip to 2 minute mark to start with the passes.

Need a highlight of him considering blocking the db on that reverse.
On a more serious note he looked really good. Threw the ball before the WR came out of his cut several times which we haven't seen in 2 years. Also stepped up and made strong throws with guys in his face. He also looked comfortable and in command all game.

A lot of positives from DE. He needs to put a bit more zip on the screen passes. He lobbed a couple and caused the RB to wait and get no gain.
He was great on 3rd downs...made some nice scrambles...looked way better than harris.

Etling looks like, what's that word, a quarterback.

We passed for over 200 yards. Woot woot!!!

How and the hell did this kid ever sit for one play behind Harris. For our coach to watch this kid in practice every day and still allow Harris to start is typical Les Miles. SMH

Have u seen Harris throw ? Practice warrior.. That arm wows ppl. He just hasn't produced in live action. He didn't wait long after the loss. I think Harris deserved a shot and miles realizes after the loss esp after the inexcusable throw late to lose the gsme he really knew Harris just doesn't have "it". Wish he would've pulled him at end of 3rd quarter but Harris kindof came on a little bit but in the end kindof blew it. Harris needs more work in the film room and with pocket awareness.

Miles won't be sitting Etling either. Etling can damn run the football when needed.
I've been saying this for a while, but LSU needed a capable passer who's mobile as well. Etling fits that type. He'll need to shake off the rust, but if we continue passing the ball more (32 times total vs Miss St and it wasn't in desperation either), and open up more of the offense, we'll be dangerous down the stretch.

He didn't get more notice because we thought we had a starting qb already in Harris. Everyone expected some growth and it just did not happen. For some reason or another, the guy just hasn't been able to elevate his game. Perhaps just bad luck or perhaps he just doesn't have the QB genes that the good ones need.
Etling looks okay so far. I wouldn't put him on a pedestal, but he surely looks like an actual quarterback. He checks down, he directs traffic, he spots the open target when the called play is covered. He is what we needed at this time. Lets see how he does moving forward.
I REALLY hope Les and Cam are looking to incorporate more plays tailored to Etling's strengths. I think he can certainly handle a more complicated offense, add in some misdirection, and certainly keep having him target the RBs coming out of the back, tight ends after they chip a defender, and of course the receivers. I think we could have a lot of good things happen this year if all 3 phases of the game keep improving.

Once again, good work! Can I request Travonte and Davon?

This right here. I now have a reborn confidence in our offense on third downs that has been missing since 2013.

For some reason I cant help but think about how well Trey Quinn would've been in this offense..
