If LSU wins 10 games does does the administration give Les a contract extension?
His contract is up in 2019.

Hell no, he gets to MAYBE keep his job until his next back to back losses

Why would we extend him with 3 years left on his contract?? OP think before posting please.

I just thinking about another year if Les' offense.

We will finish 9-3, go to a middling bowl, and Les will stay.
Prepare yourself. It could be much worse. The 90s were horrible.

All coaches try to keep a 5 year contract. Claim it is necessary for recruiting purposes.

I don't care what we do this season it's Miles' time to move on

Give him a raise too while we are at it.

My question is simply this: I've seen on here several posters have claimed that Miles has to win the west or he is gone, what is your source? I'm damn near ambivalent about Mile's fate, but it seemed like last year was the year to do this and since it didn't happen, I would think 9 regular season wins and perhaps 8 would work.
Not sure LSU will hit those numbers as a lot of football remains to be played. Most of you are ready for Chicken to start the coaching changes board now, but most of the ranters have no say in an actual change. I'm just looking for a legitimate source on those comments and I'm sure they are predominantly personal opinions or more likely hopes!

If we end up 10-2 on November 25, Les is safe. LSU MIGHT extend his contract one year but most likely no extension, imo.
If we end up 9-3, things will get tricky. My best guess is Les will stay but with no one year extension.
The idea that LSU must at least win the SECW for Les to stay is pure fantasy. The LSU Admins do not want to get rid of Les because they do not want to pay $12 million no matter where that money would come from.
Terminating Les is not simply an athletic decision. Legislative leaders have made it clear that if LSU can raise $12 million to pay off a HC, then the Legislature will cut LSU funding accordingly. LSU is being blackmailed by legislative committee chairmen just like last year. LSU would have to fall completely on its face to be able politically to let Les go.
The real crime in all of this is whoever at LSU agreed to such a huge buyout.
