Miles DID change his philosophy last night

Yes LSU almost blew a big lead but it was not bc Les went ultra conservative after getting up to a big lead.
LSU stayed aggressive on offense but continually shot themselves in the foot with crucial penalties and our best player fumbled 2x when LSU was driving the ball.
I still think it's too little to late but at least it's something.

Ditto. Play calling was better execution was off. They lost the momentum, Dline and LBs saved the day.

Coach Miles didn't change any anything,he has always done what is necessary ! Ranters will not ruin LSU until is Coach Mile is gone !

Well he obviously did change what he normally does with s lead. Like I said I think it's too little too late but he did change.

Surely you are kidding. The delusion is strong.

We as fans and even the tv commentators were bewildered at how we play a "good" game and almost lose. It's like as LSU fans you just expect it now. Lost of focus and intensity are probably where Les has failed us most.

The rant is apparently the lowest of the low. I didn't think it would take that smart of a fan to realize that while this looked like a typical Miles game....it wasn't.
I can't remember the last time the play calling was like that.

Those reverses and half back passes were the tits.

Do people forget MSU last year? Basically same 1st half except Les went ultra conservative and almost lost. This year he stays aggressive (at least for him) yet we got some costly penalties, some questionable call reversals, and our best player having 2 huge fumbles.

Both HB passes were open especially Dupre's but we failed to convert. Etling was WIDE OPEN in the Dupre reverse but Dupre rushed the throw and failed to convert. That was s great play call that our players failed to execute.

I agree both great play calls just bad execution. Play calling on offense was not bad last night except for that last drive.

Yeah, 8 pass attempts in the 2nd. half is real aggressive. You're right, we need to keep Miles and company.

Agree..Les has difficulty with intensity and focus. Doesn't do the necessary pre game study of the opponent and doesn't demand it from his players.

The funny thing is I've yet to see a single person articulate why it was Les' fault. A poster above broke down every single drive in the second half. Those drives fell apart through arguably bad calls by the officials, lack of execution and mental mistakes from the team.
LF's fumble was real but the original call on the field was a fumble recovery by LSU, first down LSU. Then they looked at it for 6 minutes on the review. You are supposed to have incontrovertible evidence to over turn the ruling on the field. You think they had that but it took 6 minutes to find? A similar thing happened later when they overturned an incomplete pass out of bounds for state (Insert "Les has lost control of the refs here).
Etling missed some throws but it was his FIRST start in two years and FIRST in Tiger Stadium. Clearly he's improving game to game. Fournette fumbled twice which he never does but the guy was also playing a little hurt.
A couple players had mental mistakes which happens every game on every level of football.
My point is we caught some really bad breaks at the end that didn't have much to do with coaching. And as mentioned above we lost some calls that COULD have gone either way. A player fumbled twice who never fumbled. We had mental mistakes at a bad time in the game. It was a perfect storm.

tin foil alert -
Miles is letting his coordinators call the plays so that if he gets fired this year, they'll land good jobs elsewhere.
Posted on 9/18/16 at 8:40 am to STEVED00
Miles did not change his philosophy. He gave control, probably forced too, to Cam.

I don't think he's arguing that Miles needs to stay. Btw we only ran 22 true plays in the second half where we weren't trying to kneel, kill the clock, or get off our own 1/2yd line.
