Seattle wasn't good either
I am assuming you mean the 2010 playoff loss. That was at least understandable considering we were getting running backs and tight ends from Free Agency that hadn't played a down in over a year. Hell, I forget his name but that RB out of Alabama hadn't spent a minute in regulation (NFL) in his career.

Maddest I've ever been after any sporting event loss.

Yes, and it's not even close.
We hold on to win that game, and we appear in our THIRD NFC CHAMPIONSHIP IN SIX YEARS.
We more than likely destroy the Giants at home in the NFCCG, and we at least give it our best shot at beating the Pats in the SB.
That loss, combined with LSU's abysmal showing in the Nat'l Championship, dropped Louisiana from the bastion of football to a shell of its former self.
We could have had it all...

Yup.
I'm still pissed about that one.
Most upset I have ever been after a loss. That was a Super Bowl Team.

The loss is not what kept me away but the way the SF fans acted before, during and after the game.
Everyone I knew who went to the game said they were incredibly terrible.
I fricking hate everything about the 49ers.

That team was so good.
They started off a little rough, but they turned into a machine down the stretch. They were beating the shite out of everyone.

I was hurt more by the 1992 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Saints were up 20-7 in the 4th Quarter, then gave up 29 unanswered. This was in the Wild Card round, but the Saints were still looking for their first playoff win and squandered this opportunity.
That's why, at least to me, it hurts more.

I'd put the 2011 saints team against pretty much anyone in the past decade. When that team was in the dome no way we were losing to anyone

49ers was the worst but
Yeah, an early rough Saints memory for me. I was visiting the city from college and watching in the Quarter. That was tough, but nothing like the 49ers... situation

The Loss to the Rams in the 80's on a last second MikeLansford FG that kept us out of the playoffs was pretty bad.
that was 1983. yes that woulda been our first playoff appearance. just was delayed for 4 years.

i was there. yep we blew that lead. we got philly back though in 2006 and 2013. F the iggles.
hell all 4 of our playoff appearances sucked until 2000. 5th time the charm!
but yeah 2011 was soul wrenching. blew the lead twice in last 4 minutes. jesus after trailing all day, losing pierre thomas on what would have been the early go ahead score setting the tempo AND we overcame what? 5 turnovers?

This. Part of my soul was crushed that day and I've never ever gotten over it.

Worst sports week of my life. National Championship game and then that game.

No question but the Philly playoff loss was perhaps worse.
