River Road north of the bridge is under construction and closed with connections from it to I-10 down to one lane.

Same here. It was fun when you dedicated a 5-6 hr chunk of your Saturday (if not tailgating) and getting to watch the game live.

You can pretty much double that to 10-12 hrs now.

You must be new to being a Tiger fan. None of that has changed. I'll offer you this to brighten your day. Try taking a daily commute in Los Angeles on either the 405, 105 or I-10. You'll never bitch about "traffic not moving" for only 8 days out of the year for something football fans wait for all year.

Waited til after, no traffic.

When only a few thousand or even few hundred people are in the stadium, where do you think the rest of them are?

It took 45-50 minutes for me to go from Hayfield to I-10. I left the game with 10 minutes to go.

We were in 409. Left about midway thru 4th quarter. Sent us out to burbank. Wasn't terrible.

The thing i always find odd is how they seem to send folks back toward the middle of the campus area. I really don't care which where they send me...I just wanna get away from campus as quick as possible. From the hayfields I always wanted to be sent away from the I10 bridge on River road. Gets clean decently fast. i don't care if i drive all the way past the casino...just get me away. After that its easy to get wherever.

When I go to games I usually ride with someone who has a parking pass. Haven't had to park in the hay fields in a few years. Last night was the last time.

Traffic leaving the stadium

was/is one of the reasons i don't regret giving up my season tickets a few years ago....that, and i felt that i was becoming part of that "see and be seen" crowd... you know the ones that always like to talk about their tickets at any chance they get...

That's actually pretty good. Just wait until you go to a game that isn't delayed by rain and people actually show up and maybe even stay.

If you are dumb enough to park in any lot off of river rd, you deserve every bit of traffic

I went to Los Angeles on vacation recently and was surprised how smooth the traffic was on 8 lane freeways around 5:00 on a weekday. Heading to Los Angeles wasn't bad but leaving LA looked bad on the other side of the road.

I was in the same boat on the North side of levee lot and made us go south. (I was headed to the Lafayette area) traffic was crazy.

The intersection where River Road turns into South Blvd is all torn up with Construction. That and the closures around the River Center due to the remaining flood refugees make that area of Downtown almost impassable.

Makes for a great commute home during workdays!

It's time LSU create a timely plan of exit. It can be done, but I doubt they will.

What is this?

I'm imagining Borne dismissing a few sections at the start of halftime, a few more at the start of the 3rd Q and so on until no one is left at 00:00.

With the post flood increase in BR traffic in general you have to think post game traffic is going to be worse than usual this year - especially for the SEC games. Gonna have to plan for it.

You need to find a good balance between parking far enough to avoid traffic but not too far where you have to walk for an hour. or you can do what I did and walk for 45 minutes after storming the field only to find your car isn't there and your phones dead
Walked another hour to my friend's dorm
