When you hire a 7-5 coach...

...that finishes 5th in the big 12, how on God's green earth do you expect him to win in the SEC year in and out?
We're only getting what we got.

Only fool would ignore all the success Les has brought LSU

He's won on talent alone for years. Just imagine what we could have been during the "golden age" if we had a quality head coach.

Saban only won more than 7 games once at Michigan St before we hired him.
Try again troll!!

Jesus H. Christ.
Is the writing on the walls for Miles? Yes.
Does he deserve to get let go if the same mistakes that happened in the Wisconsin game, and that have been happening over the last few years, continue and we drop games? Yes.
Shocking though it may seem based on the posts of this board, but you can believe those two things to be true without criticizing the man's entire tenure at LSU. He has had a lot of success over the last 10+ years. To dismiss that entirely is to be utterly petulant.
Let me guess, you were one of those guys citing #thedecline after Tennessee '05. Well congrats, you may be finally right. Hope that makes you happy.

The difference is Saban is the GOAT. LSU got confused when they hired Miles and got an actual goat.

And yet everyone's favorite replacement got beat by UConn last year.

well he finished 3rd twice too. Nick Saban finished 5th or 6th four of his 5 years at Michigan State. He topped out at #2. Blanket statements like these are stupid, bascially

And only a bigger fool would ignore the incomprehensible losses by Les to inferior opponents since 2012.

7-5 at Oklahoma State was awesome compared to how putrid they were in the decades leading up to his hire.
When Miles got to Stillwater, OSU was coming off their 11th losing season in 12 years. Acting like he didn't do a good job there is foolish.

13-0 and it was all luck.

The talent alone LSU brings in has more games than Les' coaching has

Les had success at Oklahoma St and was able to beat Oklahoma on several occasions. He has obviously had more success at LSU because he has more resources, which is the bases of hiring him.

A. Are you ignoring his entire tenure here?
B. Despite the pumping on here, LSU is not a prestigious program (probably not even top 20). When Miles leaves, we won't be replacing him with a blue-chip guy.

Of course you're making the assumption that another coach would have also brought in the same talent.

I'm not trying to Rustle your Jimmies, I'm actually proud of what Les has done here. I just think the ceiling has been reached. Is it ok that I have an opinion?

they always make that assumption

Lil Nicky went 8-5 his last year, losing to IOWA in the bowl game. Next year Miles won the best. Again, not saying Miles should be retained, but by your definition he has been a better Coach then your God nick Saban in the past

This is just nonsense…
Players inevitably make the plays, and I do believe LSU needs him gone now, but geez, really?
There's so much that goes into coaching other than what we see for a few hours on a Saturday. And he's done well at most things, to anyone's standards.
