Is anyone else somewhat apprehensive? They lost to Auburn in overtime last year while finishing 2nd in FCS, and they beat Ole Miss about 5 years ago

They are extremely well coached, and will be prepared for our one dimensional offense. I see us winning, but I also see this being a game that is never completely out of reach

I foresee lots of Leonard Fournette smashing small players and winning the game without Harris throwing very much.

Should be able to wear them down. Their QB is really good and will move the ball. Need to keep him out of the end zone. It might not be pretty but LSU will win.

This game will be close into the 4th, lsu will win only because fornette is such a beast.

The fact this program has beaten Ole Miss, and went to OT with Auburn, means they will not be intimated and roll over Saturday

I have given my tickets away. There is no point in even going to this game. There is no entertainment involved in watching LSU football.

LSU still has a tremendous advantage in this game. You are playing at home and you have 85 scholarship players versus 64. Most FBS fans make the mistake of thinking that there are not good football players in the lower divisions. (I recommend that you never schedule North Dakota State). JSU has plenty of good athletes. They will also not be intimated by the environment. They have played at plenty of big stadiums. The key to JSU having a chance is to force turnovers, have no turnovers of their own, and limit the penalties. Basically, play mistake free football.

The danger for LSU is if it becomes close going into the fourth quarter. If JSU is within a couple of scores, the LSU depth won’t matter as much. At that point, JSU will believe they can win and that underdog adrenaline kicks in.

By the way, any word on Fournette’s status?

That is the element in which opponents are increasingly holding a decisive advantage over us.

Just in case you missed the Auburn-JSU game last year. Here are the JSU highlights.

JSU highlights

Pay attention to the QB and to receiver #12
