I hate to say this, but I think what Bama is doing would be perfect for this team.

One that is not one deminsional. That's all I want. One where we attempt to put our playmakers in positions to make plays.

a coach that probes for what works. A coach that is able to make adjustments when something isnt working. You dont even have to name it anything. It is what good coaches do. They dont continually run stuff that isnt working.

Like yesterday, Dural was having success when he had the ball in his hands. His touches were sporadic.

how many times was he going to run LF up the gut in the 1st half before he realized that wasnt working? No attention to detail. No sense of urgency.

how many times was coach going to let Harris lock onto Dupre and throw that same shitty high ball on the hitch? WTF was that even supposed to be? is that a back shoulder throw? is that a jump ball?

Maybe an offense that doesn't take a struggling QB that is right handed and roll him out left on the first pass of the game. Just saying

Couldn't care less what we run. Just want one that doesn't look like shite every week. Style means nothing.

Good play-calling is all about imagination. I heard Steve Spurrier say that one time. A lot of times he said he drew up stuff and when he got to the practice field it just looks terrible.then you scrap it and try something else.

One that can score points and keep the other team's defense on the field for 40 minutes.

I'm watching the UT vs ND game right now and would hire the UT offensive coordinator today as the head coach

quote:

but wouldn't we be better served running the ball and just having a solid passing game to back that up

like under jimbo? then crowton? until in 2009 when JJ could not handle the offense forcing miles to basically change styles in 2010? we had a spread passing game similar to mizzou under crowton with a power run game.

bama has run from the gun for years now. we shoulda been doing the same. open up running room and makes them defend the pass or always be looking for it.

but nah we will stay predictable with the type of plays and formations we use most the time like i form normal and twins. sadly when we had some good playcalls we went away from them back to miles' predictable bread and butter running into 9 man fronts.

I would like to see lsu run a multiple offensI've attack. Something that utilizes all of our playmakers abilities, instead of an offense that features our running backs abilities only.

i like spread option as that has beaten bama and won corch urban meyers 3 nattys. it has allowed auburn to beat bama multiple times and win a natty and play for another also.

but i will take whatever works. spread option, winged T, wishbone, flexbone, Air raid, run n shoot, notre dame box, west coast, etc. I will take whatever we can make work to win nattys.
