Etling Should Get At Least 50% of Reps...

Versus Jacksonville State. I think Brandon Harris is probably a great kid, and is a fantastic athlete.
He does not have the mental toughness to be a college QB.
Etling needs reps. He may suck too, but we have to find out.

He won't...this is Jefferson/Lee all over again

It doesn't fuching matter.

Lol It won't make a difference. Our OL is absolutely terrible.

ya quit doing this to yourselves. The qb that sucked at purdue isn't going to rescue this shitbox of an offense

This is by far the stupidest thing that keeps being said. Harris is the better qb. Play him until the wheels come off. Belichick almost never plays the backup, and he's that way for good reason. Harris needs the absolute maximum reps he can get, and I don't mean that as a knock on Harris.

Regardless whoever plays qb LSU will still do the same plays results will be the same. QB change want help the team when you want to run it with 9 and the world knows your running it. Nothing will change until Les leaves I hate to say it.

Problem with Harris is that he cannot make snap judgments. He hesitates to be certain someone is open, he should be able to see if a receiver is open or will be open at his break. He cannot. That hesitation is the difference between him being fairly good.

Only Payton manning or Drew Breese could be successful in this offense. It's a pro offense. We don't have a pro QB. Most other college QB 's take 90 % of their snaps from the gun. Not LSU. Nothing will get better until we get a new head coach and offensive coordinator. Sad but true

Harris is not the first QB ruined by exposure to CLM & CCC'S TOXIC OFFENSE resulting in partial or complete loss of confidence and regression indirect proportion to exposure over time.
Etling or Scott both share the advantage of less exposure and the corrosive effect over time as did Mettenberg coming inby transfer. It appears that McMillan may already be a lost cause.

How many QBs do we have to trash, ridicule, and proclaim the next guy needs a shot before it becomes apparent that the coaching and scheme is the issue.

Who gives a shite about reps. Fire les. That's the answer. He's a fricking tard.

Our offense should pass the ball more but that ain't gonna happen either.

No, I'd rather we play Scott. Etling has proven in college that he is terrible as well and would die behind this bullshite of an offensive line.
Scott at least provides an unknown and he is currently the only QB on the roster who can really create plays when the OL breaks down. Miles has pretty much taken the dual threat out of Harris.
Jax St and Miss St should be games to test the waters with him.
I was hoping that Harris could transcend the terrible Les Miles philosophy, but I was wrong.

i'm concerned about that myself. but I am not sure and hope you are wrong. I think we should give him some more time before making that a fact. fwiw, I think jarrett lee didn't have the mental toughness to be an SEC qb.

if our OL continues to stink either or both QB's won't last the season.

I'm still shocked Les gave Brandon Harris the wheel in the 2014 MSU game (which we actually had a chance to win at the end). Doubt that will happen.

I think a new OC would fix things more than another QB, just viewing from the outside. The playcalling majorly lacked any creativity or anything even remotely different, which leads to opposing defenses being overly prepared in knowing what to expect. I actually think Les could stay and Harris continue starting - but with a new OC - and things would improve drastically.
Your defense was (and has been) pretty dominant and will only continue to get more so under Aranda, yet Les changed the DC instead of OC. If there was one rock solid argument to get rid of him, I think that would be it. After all, Les is a good coach and one of the best in LSU history, but when you're more of a CEO type coach that relies on the assistants mistakes like those are inexcusable.

I don't think etling is the ticket. He stunk it up in the spring game.
I'm good with giving Scott a chance. He seems like a gamer.
