Any remedies to get the bleeding to stop.

Dang Baw that's terrible, you are a dog abuser.
Take the poor dog walking and the concrete will grind the nails down, plus you might get some exercise.

I think that sugar and/or spider webs were both used to clot blood in the old days.

+1. Haven't cut my dogs nails since he was 2 months old. We do a couple of miles/night while I listen to music or podcasts. Actually look forward to it as much as he does now

Push nail into soft bar of soap.

Make a paste with corn starch and water, it will stop it almost instantly.

Me and my 1/3 wiener, 1/3 jack russell, 1/3 chihuahua mix do a 3 mile loop when it's not 107 degrees. I'm still fat but he's the neighborhood badass

Heat up a knife and cauterize it. It'll only hurt for a second but it'll seal it up. My lab has had more nail problems than you can imagine.

Had this happen last week corn starch and water mix into paste press into on nail and see if they will sit with you for a while or do it when they go down for the night worked good for us

We keep styptic powder on hand for this.

You should make her walk, unless you like paying large doctor bills. Extra pounds are extra vet $'s and less time you get to spend with her before she's gone.
As far as clipping goes, even the nail places mess up sometimes. If her nails are clear you can see where the vessel ends and get nail clippers with a manual measuring guard.
