Yeah, If we had kept Perrilloux we would be going for a 10th straight title.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I think he's saying 'don't count your eggs before they hatch.'

Harris needs to improve quite a bit to even think about going to the NFL. I hope he does improve obviously, but I don't see him getting that 2nd round grade.

I would be nervous as frick if Etling is the starter next year. Look at his numbers at Purdue and yes Purdue stinks, but still. Again I hope he is a star at LSU as I do everyone else on the team, just haven't seen any evidence of this.

Can you at least see him take a couple live snaps by somebody other than his teammates before you go full retard

So that's the criteria? QB with the most in game snaps starts? I thought it was the best player.

I don't think miles is going to ask Harris to do much more than hand the ball to fournette and throw bombs to dural. Unless he starts throwing pick sixes he isn't going anywhere.

McMillan looked pretty bad in the Spring game, not too surprised

I saw the spring game. Watched it again on demand in July. I didn't think that JM looked bad. I think that he and Scott are very talented. The 2 guys coming in are also very talented. The future looks bright.

I told people last year that if McMillan ever saw real time in Tiger Stadium that either we had a catastrophic series of injuries or, we officially could say this had turned into Curley Hallman era recruiting failure at QB.

That's when everyone was acting the gaping hole in our QB cycle wasn't really there cause "we got McMillan after all">

The biggest thing that would help build QB depth and aid in development would be for us to blow some teams out of the fricking water early and NOT just sit on the ball when we have a big lead.

There is literally nothing in Les' history that would indicate he prioritizes getting meaningful snaps in for the backups when the opportunity arises. NOTHING.

It would be one thing if we had a history of just nailing it in QB recruiting.............but, since that isn't the case, his approach to it is mind fricking numbing.

That's exactly what he was referring to.. don't know why that other guy had to be sarcastic.

Hoping Brennan pans out, he could be key to a NC run if he's that good. Plus he fits the system Les doesn't want to change. It'll be nice going back to a pocket passer in a pro-style offense instead of trying to fit a DTQB into the system.

I'm with you Madtown. Except I'm hoping they all turn out to be legit. The fewer misses we have, the more depth. I predict LS, MB, LN are going to be legit.

Quite often.............and I mean QUITE OFTEN............guys perform different in games than practice might make you think they'll perform.

I hope the dude's a stud...........but c'mon.

Let's hope, and it's a faint hope, but let's hope Cam being on the field eliminates Miles.

I'd rather LSU come out throwing the ball a ton, whether it works or not, just to show we're not afraid. If we came out and put on an air show, you know how much impact that would make for defenses going forward?

Alas, we'll come out pounding the ball into the pile ten times in a row before throwing any passes.

I don't understand why we've become the token school for little known big ten qb transfers.

First Bolden from Penn St., now Etling from Purdue. These are not guys we expect to be in the mix unless we have a huge gap of experience and youth, but I'd rather just let the young guy get experience than shove Etling in for a year. That's just me though.

I compared McMillian's film to R Shepard when he was in high school. Good touch. Not a lot of arm. I think McMillian made a living throwing fade routes to Demarkus Lodge.

I agree. But, you also have add "gap in high level recruits".

I hope Scott develops great, but, we can't pretend that he's considered can't miss. And JM was frankly just a desperation get that no one can bring themselves to admit as much.

My only reason for responding to you was to say that practice SOMETIMES is a definitive "best player" filter. But not always and ESPECIALLY at QB, real experience often matters.

If BH actually did pop smoke after this season, I'm not sure plugging a RS Freshman or JM is a recipe for developing them. It is perfectly possible to totally frick up an inexperienced guy too...........permanently.

Unless there's some awesome JUCO QB for this season there's no reason to even think about this. Rarely can you find a good QB from JUCO.

Now if Harris has a good season and decided to declare after 2016.
I'd love it! That'd most likely mean that BH kicked butt this season. I'd take that deal.

Scott has good speed though a good coach can find places to use him for wrinkles in the offense.
