Would Mike Hampton count? He was having All Star type career went to Colorado and the wheels feel off.
He claimed he signed with them for the "school system" and the reporters tore into him.

And what niche is that? Must be infinitesimal, because he just spent the 2015 season playing like one of the worst Saints' defenders of all time, and that is really saying something.
Either very short zone corner or dealing with tall slower WRs. The Saints did him no favors by having him play pure man coverage without great safety help over the top.
You can legit go back to the threads when he was first signed and see Pats/Seahawks fans telling you guys he's good at what he does, but an insanely niche player. He also caused way too many penalties to ever be considered great.
Dudes also old, so he had lost any speed he previously had

Too soon for Draymond Green?

Except Draymond went nuts in that game 7 and would have been the hero had they won?

I loved TD but I was taking about guys that left the Broncos and failed.
And as great as TD was, he fell off a cliff after Elway retired mostly due to injuries but he never sniffed 1000 yards post elway.

I would argue his severe injuries were more crippling to his career
This-- having an elite PG certainly helped-- in the same way it helps Deandre Jordan and to a lesser extent Blake Griffin-- a guy who can get an athletic forward/center the ball in stride as they crash the rim is huge-- but even with Nash, Amare had like 3 or 4 more good years at best-- he wasn't even really injured again so much as his knee had a lifespan post-microfracture and was constantly deteriorating.

Well he was an mvp candidate his first year in NY, and then his knees failed him.

ETA: post Shaq, pre-Gasol was a #9 seed and a 1st round exit IIRC. Wasn't a contender
Interesting. So he lead the Lakers to the playoffs as a 9 seed? That's amazing in and of itself.
Smush Parker
Kwame Brown
Devean George
Slava Medevenko
Need I say more?
