Cespedes,Desmond, maybe Encarnacion or Bautista short term. The offense needs sprucing up, they have been bad for quite a while and there are only 3 guys at max you can count on consistently in Correa,Altuve and Springer

Sign Ramos and Edwin encarnacion. Trade youth for starting pitching.

Putting Bregman in the OF is such a waste of talent.

You can find OF bats, they should have ponied up to get Lucroy.

Nope. You'll be happy with your above average team.

short term.

Lol not gonna happen for a 30-year-old. Five years at the minimum especially in this week FA class.

Some of ya'll just make up fantasies without anything to back up what you're saying.

I'd also be shocked if Texas doesn't resign him after dealing his would have been replacement for Lucroy.

He wanted to be in Houston. That is a fact.

There's really no reason Bregs shouldn't be the starting 3B for the foreseeable future. I can't imagine Gurriel has a better glove there

There is no way they move Bregman. It would be stupid to. He has shown that he may be the best defensive 3b in the AL or top tier at least. Machado might be a little better defensively, but Brgman is a gold glove quality third baseman now.

I know, Machado is the best 3b in the game.

Khris Davis will be a free agent... he has a good chance to hit 40 HR when all is said and done this year.

Astros team batting clutch score over the last two seasons, the worst...by a lot

It's usually random and has a lot to do with luck. But the astros have a really, really awful score. They lead all of baseball in OPS in baseball reference "low-leverage" situations. Could it be youth, could it be the the all or nothing approach, could it just be shitty luck?

Without doing a little reading on what all goes into that, my guess would be that we've just had a lot of shitty hitters/rookies in the lineup. Our lineup has mostly been home run or K. Total boom or bust setup. I wouldn't think those type of hitters lend themselves to being particularly clutch relative to league average.

All of this.

No approach at the plate for the majority of the order, which leads to unclutch ABs

It's not that big of a troll. In an admittedly small sample size (150 or so innings) Bregman has 3 DRS and a 37 UZR/150

Machado in 650 or so innings 9 DRS and a 21 UZR/150

Bregman has been great a 3B since he came up, just needs to keep doing it

I mean yeah, he's been great thus far, but Machado has been an elite fielder for multiple seasons. You can't really compare the two

Yet.

Fielding is fielding, if a guy can play defense it shows up quickly in stats and has staying power. It tends to not be "lucky". With that note, I'd hold off on giving him the Machado comp

Bregman, Correa, Altuve is a heck of an infield.
