Yeah I think most 5 year olds could understand what's going on.

If we watched the video of that Armenian lifter he's probably ok.

the movie is so terrible it isn't appropriate for any age group.

Good lord, an eight year old should still be watching Disney movies.

I watch a lot of comic movie with my kids and the only one i've felt slightly uncomfortable watching was Deadpool so far. This one is fine imo..

Did your co-worker let him see Deadpool? If he saw Deadpool, he can see Suicide Squad.

At his age, he might be able to enjoy that shitfest of a movie.

Grown-up movies I was allowed to see at the theater when I was 8:
Planet of the Apes
2001
Ice Station Zebra
Grown-up movies I wanted to see at the theater but wasn't allowed to:
Rosemary's Baby
Barbarella
The Boston Strangler

I took my 5 yr old to see it.
I understand parents that wouldn't let their 8 yr old see it, but some kids can handle it. Glad mine can, gives me a movie partner.

Oh wow, you were old enough to get that reference in Better Call Saul/Breaking Bad. I had to read about it. I thought it was a made up movie.

Good grief man... 13?
BTW OP... my son is 8 and I let him see it. It's a pretty soft PG13.

I took my 9 year old daughter to see it Sunday. She loved it. Nothing terrible in the movie, hell her favorite TV show is TWD. ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/IconLOL.gif)

I don't know what the kid did wrong but tell your friend to have a little compassion and just ground him instead.

If you think that Suicide Squad is too much for a 13 year old to watch... Then I just don't know what to say to you.
