I am not white, nor did I go to private school.
But in BR, how do the families afford CHS/SJA for multiple kids, an SUV for mom, vacations to destin or even europe and a big house in U club? I cant do the math.
Most asian families i know have an income comparable to these white families( and few black or Hispanic), but they live more modestly or frugal.

You've done this thread before and we answered it. LINK /
Combination of the following:
- Two working professionals with no debt outside house
- Support from grandparents/other family members
You'll have the 5-10% that are leveraging every dollar they have via debt, but those aren't the norm from my experience.

what kind of jobs?
I know some engineers and they are always complaining about money.
I know a college professor who is constanly broke and puts her kid in public school .
What kind of jobs do the people who send their kids to U high have ? Lawyer? Dentist? Business owner ?

What you listed isn't the norm. For everyone that does that there's 20 that don't. Si I'm not sure what your point is
A couple making 150k a year (75k per parent) can afford all that and that doesn't require extraordinary jobs.

half asian, half black .
Im just observing things. Alot of highly educated asians i know have big houses, but not much stuff. they dont go on many flashy vacations or have 4 wheelers or jet skis.
Im not gonna lie, i like the rich white lifestyle
Just curious how people afford it

Most of them of you see are probably in debt up to their ears.

Both have significant cultures of taking care of their parents. On the contrary, it's not uncommon for white grandparents to still be helping their children/grandchildren.

ok, most asian grandparents cant help that much financially.

I feel like I just said that

Just different priorities. Plus a lot of people make more than you think.
Nurses can take in a lot of money. Hell I know social workers making $65k.
There are librarians making $55k and on up. Some almost reach 6 figures.
If a household has 2 incomes that are doing fairly well, then it isn't that hard to see them finding the money for private school. When you figure daycare is $650 a month, is private school really that big of a deal? Just get used to paying daycare and act like it never stops.
Wife and I pay daycare for our 4 year old, and next year when kindergarten comes, it won't really change anything for us financially.
We do take vacations but we use reward points a lot. Our house is nothing fancy (about $160k) but we put money in the bank each month, and that's more important to us right now.

I pay for two kids to go to Ascension Episcopal in Lafayette. Their ages are 4 & 8 and it is more than my mortgage by a good bit.
Posted on 8/9/16 at 6:32 pm to Boo Krewe
Two people pulling in $100k each can do that easily
Posted on 8/9/16 at 6:35 pm to Boo Krewe
How? Easy. Modern day America is running over with people who start singing, "I owe. I owe. It's off to work I go!" as they leave for work every day.

Because 4 wheelers and Jet Skis are the epitome of success? I know you certainly never went to a private school if thats how you judge wealth.

Need more than 150k to do this. Someone else is paying for it.

Not commenting on all of the other bullshite that many spend money on, but when it comes to my kids, they weren't going to a public school in La.
What we are paying is worth it in many great ways.

Well you def. can't do it by your bullshite story about how you perceive everyone at private schools.
And to further other points, these people in general are probably making much more money than you realize and their parents and grand parents did what most great families do, which is passing wealth down to them.
