I wouldn't, I'd fricking shoot her. I don't think there's a regular women that can take me but I'm not taking on a crazy bitch with a butcher knife. I'd try and run first depending on the situation but if she's blocking the exit she's getting shot.

He didn't specify spouses and this is a spinoff from the man beaten on a train thread so I'm not sure divorce is always an option considering she was a stranger who attacked him in a confined setting.

I wouldn't classify that as physical harm. I'm speaking in terms of substantial injury/death. One slap across the face wouldn't require any type of defense.

I'm 6' feet tall and 190 lbs, my wife is 5'1 and weights about 110. Short of having a weapon, there's literally nothing she can do for me to be in actual danger, so if anyone her size punches me, it would never ever ever be ok to punch back since I'm in no real danger.
Now if she has some sort of weapon or if she's some freak MMA type chick and I am in actual danger, that's obviously different.
Anyone who feels otherwise, that's kinda scary, like a guy is just begging to be able to hit a girl.
