I hope the one in Lake Charles stays open. It's not my first choice but plenty of friends love it. The food has been good when I've gone and $1 Margarita night is always fun. Used to get way too drunk then walk the few blocks home.

El Paso on Sherwood is my go to now.

The place is legit. There may be a weird server or two, but the food is good and not over priced.

Yep, the one in Laffy is done too, it's a matter of time. And it's not b/c of Chuy's b/c they're WAY overrated in this town right now. Nothing but your run of the mill Tex-Mex place.

It was really good 6-7 years ago, but as soon as they started franchising it tanked.

A real taqueria that also offers Tex Mex should take that spot where coyote blues is.

Then again I'd hate to be across the street from outback if I had a restaurant in Baton Rouge.

Your assertion wasn't explicit. Perhaps you were implying?

I was replying to a guy who made a statement about the food and said its not really any better than most of its competition in town. But you're totally right Paul in the future I'll be even more clear on matters like this.

Come on man, you don't pick your restaurants to eat at based off of what shitty cover band will be playing there?

You've got to be kidding. If anything, the food (at least the selection) has gotten better.

They have some awesome lunch specials, and kept the traditional menu items exactly the same.

My wife's family loves them some Superior. Every time her mother, father, an aunt or an uncle comes to town, we eat there.
I think the place is OK. But I can't remember when was the last time I paid for a meal there.
I do wish they would stop booking the awful cover bands on weekends. Or at least don't put those bands on until after 8 p.m. or so. (I think if you're going to have live music at a bar or restaurant, you ought to book acts that people would actually pay money to see.)
