Any off the radar movies you've seen that can recommend for a watch

Looking for anything other than a chick flick that the wife and i can watch. Seen most of the blockbusters. Is there a film you can recommend that far exceeded expectations? Drama, action, horror , no porn

I figured this is the place since stranger things was great and i got that off this board. top 3 would be nice say from the last 5 years

If I go back further than five years, I'd say:
The Adventures of Baron Munchausen, one of my all-time favorite fantasy films. A gorgeous young Uma Thurman, Robin Williams in a small role as the King of the Moon (uncredited), and just cool fun. Heard it was hell to make, but was edited and put together spectacularly.
