What's your favorite poor people food?

We've all fallen on rough times and all have food that was cheap and had no choice. So what's the fav of the OT?
Mine is mashed potatoes. Cheap to buy a sack of them boil them and mash them.

apparently poor people shop at Whole Foods... You believe that place takes Louisiana Purchase Card?!? I used to go in there once in a blue moon to treat myself and my family to a nice cut of meat and some gourmet sides.... I quit going after I got sick of waiting behind people purchasing $300 of groceries with food stamps. this is one fricked up country
