Well, if Phelps is in the room you describe and the Jamaicans don't even have furniture, then it is something. It might not be racist, but it sure is a problem.

I watched that special on the Olympics yesterday on HBO, wow really this whole deal is a racket and the IOC keeps the bidding war between third world countries to stay relevant. Was an eye opener not just for this year but in China and Russia.
And, you would think young people would know how to hold the damn phone when taking a video!

This is exactly why you don't give the games to developing or third world nations. But, I'm sure Rio's selection had more to do with kickbacks more than anything else.

It should have been fricking finished by now. That's like a construction company telling you to move into the new house you've built, they're not finished yet, and then blaming the couple for trying to move in when they were told to do so.

That was mentioned as well. Also said that oars, kayaks, boards etc are being rinsed with bleach when they are taken out of the water. Even the pools are bad. One coach wouldn't let his team practice because the water in the pool was muddy looking.

Right? It's like America is the White Male American and all the other countries are the BLM. If we can afford to put our athletes up in a nice cruise ship, we should make sure all the other athletes from other countries have their own nice cruise ship. Silver Clouds for everyone! Except Russia and Iran of course. Can't let Russians on a cruise ship. They would drink all the Vodka, commandeer the vessel, cruise up to Colombia and pick up a few kilos of Colombian Cheddar. Next thing you know you've got a Cruise ship full of Walker Texas Ranger Russians cruising up and down the South American coastline raping their women, seizing countries one by one and claiming that's what the people of those countries wanted.
On second thought, maybe we should provide a Cruise ship stocked to the brim with Vodka for the Russians.

If the Olympics is going to have a future, they need to quit hosting it in third-world shitholes, and only host it in countries that already have the infrastructure in place (Western Europe, USA, Canada, Australia).
