They wouldn't exist if there wasn't a market

Probably not, the 10000 of them in every city are just there for the mob to launder money.

I work close to that industry and you wouldn't believe the amount of people that do it. Low income individuals.
They get their loan
They give them their account info
Loan people take their money
They charge off their bank account
Rinse and repeat

I yelled at an employee of mine bc he showed me a pawn slip where he borrowed $60 at $12/week interest. I was like when you need $60 just ask me good god.

Very common near military installations for the lower enlisted to do this. Also the pawning of military equipment.

people really dont grasp just how bad poor people are with money. I have check cashing at some of my stores and every friday we do like $200-300,000 give or take and those people pay hefty fees + they end up dropping their paychecks on candy + snacks that are way more than a grocery store. The best is tax refund season, I love cashing those $8,000-$12,000 checks from the families with 4 or 5 kids. The people gladly just hand over a few hundred bucks to me to just give them cash. What a world, I cant complain and Im glad they dont do it at walmart bc they're way cheaper than i am.

Worse are the car places for people with bad credit. They will pay 30000 for a car worth 3000, AFTER they put 3000 down.

And to the guy who mentioned lower enlisted, I thought there were laws against them lending to military.

any business you can get into involving poor people you will thrive. I own a ton of cheap housing here in houston ie sub $60,000 homes and they rent for $900-1200. Some of these 1700 sq ft 3 br townhomes get 1200/month on $50k buy ins. The cap rates in the world of poor people are just staggering. I've learned this and I've invested more and more over the years catering to them.
