Didn't realize we approved the death penalty for burglars

Phone isn't letting me load article but this may just be an accident that sucks. If it isn't a capital crime, a homeowner shouldn't be allowed to unilaterally decide to make it one

He should have shot him. If some one breaks in to my house, while I am home, they will die.

It was very strange. I'm running a scan now and will post the results.

Strange. Picking up a resistant man is pretty difficult at 30, much less 68. Then tying him to the tree seems strange.

Was he wearing a utility belt with wire, electrical tape, etc? How could you keep him there while you retrieved these things?

This seems weird. More than likely, tackled him, broke his neck on the fall and he tied him up not realizing he was already dead.

If he wouldn't have been being a piece of shite he wouldn't be dead. No one to blame but himself

Killing thieves is heroic now? Even habitual ones?

I think some people would like to live under sharia law, you know until you run afoul and break one it's rules.

I do not condone stealing, at all. I am ok with shooting someone that causes you to fear for your life ( anyone breaking into my home, will cause me to fear for my life while they are in my home). But to condone a homeowner for subduing and then killing a thief, well, you make think that makes you a "law and order" person, but it makes you the opposite of that.

These two guys were acquitted in similar circumstances. Had anyone ordered a Code Red on the burglar?

So normally tying someone to a tree and duck taping their mouth would not kill an avg person. Now someone with chf or asthma may have a medical emergency during this time. I do not think the homeowner killed the man, the man died to whatever the frick condition he suffers from.
